Leonardo González

Leonardo Gonzalez Armendariz is an attorney with ample experience and significant reputation in matters related to administrative, constitutional and intellectual property litigation in Mexico.

EDUCATION

A native of Cambridge, England, Mr. González earned his Law Degree in 1984 from Mexico City's Universidad Iberoamericana. In 1988 he received his Master's Degree in Tax and Public Law from Cambridge University, the British Council, and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

CAREER

Mr. González is a Founding Partner of the law firm CONINTER y Asociados, S.C. where since 1995 he provides consulting and litigation services on matters of Administrative, Tax, Civil, and Commerce Law,

In 1997 Mr. González also served as Consulting Attorney on litigation and administration procedures for the law firm Olivares y Compañía, S.C.

Since 1999 Mr. Gonzalez has served as a principal Of Counsel to IBLC Abogados, S.C. in matters of Constitutional and Administrative Litigation, and on Piracy and Counterfeiting cases.

Mr. González has held a permanent teaching position on Tax Law at Universidad Iberoamericana since 1989.

Since 1992 Mr. González has been a Member of the Board of Directors of the Instituto Anglo Mexicano de Cultura, A.C.

Mr. González's earlier law experience includes positions at:

• Banco Mexicano Somex (1979)
• Grupo Industrial Alfa: Fiscal Law Underdirectorate (1982-1984)
• Grupo Industrial Alfa: Attorney at the Fiscal Law Department;
• Founding Partner of the firm Centurión González y Calderón Abogados (later renamed as LESE Abogados), mainly working on administrative, litigation, tax, and "Amparo" issues (1987-1995).
